Lethal Pair of Guitarist Bring Deth to Las Vegas
Dave Mustaine, the front-man for Megadeth, and Chris Broderick put on and incredible guitar driven show on Sunday at the House of Blues inside the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Opening with a couple songs from the new album, Endgame, Megadeth kept the blood pumping throughout the whole concert. Shawn Drover tore up the drums and James Lomenzo was flawless on bass.
I don’t want to ruin the play list if you have yet to see Megadeth on this tour but they played all their greatest songs including selections from Peace Sells, Rust in Peace, Countdown to Extinction, Youthanasia and others. After they finished the last song of their main set, a guy standing next to me said, “how are they going to top that”, referring to what are they going to play for an encore? I answered, “Holy Wars!” The only way to end the night!
The opening bands Arcanium from Colorado and Warbringer, a thrash metal band from Ventura, CA were also very good and are worth going to see when they visit a venue near you.
If you missed Megadeth this time around, I highly recommend you get your tickets for The American Carnage Tour when Megadeth brings along Slayer and Testament. That’s a potent line up!
